ALUMINIUM

INSULATED PANELS
(SANDWICH PANELS)

Oralium manufactures high-quality sandwich panels ideal for noiseless roofing when it comes to modern-day structures. These panels have a high load bearing capacity at low weight. They have durable thermal insulation, not to mention excellent sound insulation. Oralium sandwich panels last long and have a very low maintenance cost. They come in a range of colours - cool grey, brick red and coffee brown.

Self-supporting polyurethane insulation material for pitched roofs with a minimum slope of 7%.

Values guaranteed with external face in aluminium 0.5 mm thick, and internal face in steel, 0.6 mm thick. The spans (m) as a function of a uniformly distributed load (kg f/m ), are the result of load tests carried out in laboratories and provide a deflection f < /200 with a safety coefficient that complies with the UEAtc standards for insulated panels, observed by European Certifying Organizations.

With external and/or internal thicknesses interior to the above-mentioned ones, the guarantee on the admissible loads for the spans indicated in the table is maintained, while it is not maintained on the deflection limit and the safety coefficient. U value is Thermal Transmittance Co-efficient expressed in Watt/mC and Kcal/m h C.

UNFLAGGING EMPHASIS ON QUALITY

The prime focus is always on quality, with each stage of production process undergoing stringent and systematic in-house quality checks.

The product conforms to the following standards:

  • IS 12436 (Indian Standards)

  • Pr EN 14509 (European Standards)

  • DIN 4102 (German Standards)

Tests conducted at our factory are:

  • Density of Insulation

  • Compressive Strength

  • Hot Dimensionality Stability test

  • Bending Strength

  • Adhesion Strength (Foam to Aluminium)

Oralium products undergo the following quality tests:

  • Our Panels Joint system (closed) tested for Air & Water penetration test – As per AST E 283 and ASTM E 33

  • Our PUF Insulation tested for Ignitability evaluation – As per BS:476 part

  • Our PUF Insulation tested for Surface spread of flame – As per BS:476 part 7

  • Our Mineral wool panel tested for fire exposure for 120mins with respect to stability, integrity and thermal insulation – As per BS: 476 part 20 & 22.

FIRE & STRUCTURAL - TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Reaction to fire

A material is assigned a class (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5), relating to the degree to which it resists combustion - the higher the class, the higher the degree of combustion.

The tests for this follow strict standards, which varies from one country to another. Hence, except for Class 0, which is an ISO standard, drawing parallels between classifications followed by various national standards is difficult.

Class 0

The non-combustibility test to assign Class 0 is carried out to the ISO-DIS 1182.2 standard, which envisages to a very small sample material to 750 C and checking the following parameters:

  • Formation of flames

  • Increase in temperature

  • Loss of weight

Resistance to fire

The resistance to fire is the ability of the material to keep its mechanical stability, not to spread flames, or to have thermal insulation for a certain period of time. The resistance to fire is expressed as the time, in minutes, from the beginning of the heating period until the tested component ceases to comply with the requirements that it must meet. The fire resistance test is carried out by following the instructions of Circular no. 91 of the Ministry of the Interior (1961).

The following aspects are controlled:

  • Mechanical stability

  • Resistance to flames, fumes and exhausts

  • Thermal insulation (symbol : R)(Symbol : E) (symbol : l)

The material can have a variable fire resistance level, resulting from the combination of the REI, RE, R requirements.

Class 1-5

No organic substances achieve Class 0, so they must be classified with other methods.
